My name is Elena and I'm a writer and editor from, and based in, New York City. I graduated from Princeton University with a degree in English Literature, and spent a few years post-college living and working in Thailand.
Over the last few years I've worked for the Public Theater, the Charlie Rose show, served as the founding Arts & Entertainment Editor at Mic.com, and the Culture Editor at HelloGiggles. Now I'm a freelancer, and I'm pursuing work both writing and editing.
I write personal essays as well as articles about books, culture, and news. My work has appeared on Vogue.com, The New Yorker, The New York Times, Quartz, The Hairpin, The Observer, Fusion, Salon, Extra Crispy, Drift Magazine, among others.
