My name is Elena and I'm a writer and editor from, and based in, New York City. I graduated from Princeton University with a degree in English Literature, and spent a few years post-college living and working in Thailand.
Over the last few years I've worked for the Public Theater, the Charlie Rose show, served as the founding Arts & Entertainment Editor at Mic.com, and the Culture Editor at HelloGiggles. I am now the Wellness Editor at Yahoo, and I also freelance both as a writer and an editor.
I write personal essays, reported features, reviews, and interviews with my work focusing on culture, movies, women, books, politics, music, TV, wellness, history, and all of many other things I find interesting. My work has appeared on Vogue.com, The New Yorker, The New York Times, Racked, Quartz, Nylon, Yahoo, The Hairpin, Fusion, Salon, Extra Crispy, Drift Magazine, Elle, Shondaland, The Huffington Post, among others. I also do on camera interviews for AOL's Build series.
